Unable to send e-mails, even when DOORS has been configured to allow them

Hi,

So, the DXL function, sendEMailNotification, is not working. The following is a code snippet:

//Send e-mail notification
bool v = sendEMailNotification(null,"...","EMail works!", "Hello!")

Unfortunately, this function returns false, which means the SMTP was unable to communicate. Does anyone know why this is?

Thanks

I've also realized that my port number is '0', and I've read discussion involving port '25'.

Could this possibly be the issue? That is, do I have to set my port number to '25'?

Thanks

This thread has what I know:

Port 25 is hard coded, I don't know where you could possibly be specifying a port. And specifying port 0 sounds like a bad idea anyway.

Thanks for the link, but I've discovered that the issue was DOORS wasn't recognized as a valid e-mail sender. So, I was forced to use a batch file that executed a vb script that accomplished this task.

Thanks anyway.
